Joanie grew up in the frenzied streets of Hollywood during the turbulent sixties. She began her artistic journey while in her teens combing the streets and alleys for hidden treasures and unusual objects she incorporated into imaginative arstistic assemblages. Today this traveled artist, now conveys her unique vision with fused glass: Cabinet jewelry, earrings and necklaces.
Each piece is a one-of-a-kind gem created through special techniques developed by Joanie herself. Using a free-hand, multi-layering technique she creates brillante compositions of fine glass including dichroic glass combined with precious metals and other fine materials, kiln-fired underexact temperatures to a perfect hardness that will last a lifetime.
